Wedding Wear

What can I say, at this age I spend majority of my weekends celebrating engagements, bachelorette parties, and in the case of this weekend, a wedding!  Although it is fun to be part of a wedding, being a guest has its perks too.  For example, shopping for the perfect dress, ideally one that five other people aren’t also wearing.  Girls night out welcomes skinny jeans and shorts, but weddings still require a little more formality.  As a girl who has always loved any reason to dress up, it is no surprise weddings are one of my favorite events to attend!  I have put together a few looks for a Summer wedding.  After I attend one of my good friend’s wedding this Saturday, I will be sure to capture  my wedding fashion and share next week.  Have a great weekend!

Teal for Fall

Like I said, Fall is upon us.  Yes, you don’t want to hear it…or maybe you do considering the high temps across the nation this Summer.  Anyway, instead of defaulting to your cold weather palette of neutrals and muted hues, go for teal!  Yes teal, although not given a good name by Jennifer Lopez in The Wedding Planner, “Do you realize Fran has chosen teal for her bridesmaids? Teal, the color of gangrene. My last bride who chose teal ended up getting her marriage annulled in 12 days!”.  Don’t worry, I don’t think it will ruin your marriage, but it will be a welcome addition to your Fall shopping list!

Sail Away

It has been so hot and humid here I began to reminisce back to a few weeks ago when I took a sailing tour out on the lake.  It’s amazing how much cooler it feels out on the water with the wind blowing through your hair.  Enjoy and I hope to have style photos for the remainder of this week’s posts!
